Everybody on ATRL know you are a Britney Spears hater. I'm new here and have not posted that much but every time I see a topc about Britney I see you trolling and spreading hate in it.
Btw, Katy has debuted around 2008-09 and is still kinda new in the industry. She only released 2 albums that caught the gp's attention (TD and Prism). She is still new, fresh and has a lot to prove. That's why her sales are great.
Britney has debuted and been known since 1998, almost 19 years ago. Of course it's way harder for her to debut in the top 10 and sell her music. All of her albums, except Britney Jean have been very successful. After the Femme Fatale era, she has shown she didn't care anymore about sales, promotion, etc... Her familly and personnal life come first.
We can also notice that Katy got iTunes banners for the whole week, she has had a music video, and the video debuted on television. Britney had and did nothing during the whole first week. So debuting with around 165.000 sales in the US after 19 years (with streaming) when Katy that is still new is debuting with around 200.000 seems AMAZING to me. Also, you can't lie, the reception for Make Me... has been INCREDIBLE ! Everybody seems to love it and Britney, that has suffered from a radio ban during her second, third and fourth era and has never been played a lot is being supported with Make Me on radio, way more than Rise.
