That's unequivocally false, he got rid of abstinence only education while governor. And what matters is that he is now pro choice and while personally pro life because of him being catholic, he recognizes that nobody but the woman should be deciding what is best for her health choices. There's a reason that both NARAL and planned parenthood gave him a 100% rating.
He's pro choice, pro LGBT, pro gun control, pro immigration, and he's the most qualified candidate she could have chosen. He may be "boring" but they have a great personal relationship and will work wonderfully together. Plus, he has appeal to working class white men, which is very important because that's where Hillary is weakest. And he ensures that she'll win Virginia, plus he will potentially raise her numbers a couple points with the Hispanic community, he speaks fluent Spanish, did missionary work in Honduras, and has done great things for the Latino community in Virginia. Plus, as someone mentioned, he should definitely help with the catholic vote. And little known factoid that I learned from 538, for the last few decades at least, the candidate who has won the catholic vote has won the presidency. He may not be the sexy pick, but he's the right pick. People said that the Biden pick was kind of boring, but it turned out to be the right one and he has been an outstanding VP. There was a reason that Kaine was almost picked by Obama in '08 and why he was picked now.
