No, it was legally too. That 100% looks a bit fraudulent, this must be a straight voting record and not policy advocacy.

But he hasn’t always advanced policies directly in line with those of abortion rights advocacy groups. He pledged in his 2005 gubernatorial campaign to reduce the number of terminated pregnancies in the state by promoting adoption and abstinence-focused education. That cycle, the state NARAL chapter ripped Kaine’s GOP opponent, Jerry Kilgore, as “an extremely anti-choice candidate” but still withheld its endorsement of Kaine because he “embraces many of the restrictions on a woman’s right to choose.”
In a 2007 NARAL scorecard, Kaine was described as a “mixed-choice” governor and his state got an F grade thanks in part to a number of laws and other policies restricting access to abortions. Two years later, Kaine upset both local and national reproductive rights groups by signing a law that authorized the sale of customized “Choose Life” license plates. Kaine argued he was supporting free speech, but his critics complained that the law would fund pro-life organizations and didn’t square with another very important hat that he was wearing at the time: Obama’s personally picked head of the Democratic National Committee.
The haters don't even get to say that she's pandering with this choice since he's a white man hopefully she picks up a portion of the white male vote and secures Virginia for the win
Kaine is the safest pick ever. Dude has been through multiple elections (and is undefeated).
True in that aspect
But independents won't look at a Clinton/Kaine ticket and feel as though that's a particularly great ticket to get behind. I mean they may also feel the same about Trump/Pence. But still, she won't draw in independents based on that ticket alone

Meh, license plates aren't really things I'd use to determine whether or not someone was pro or anti choice. And he was only in office for one year in 2007...are those ratings for the state or for him? Because it sounds like the former.

Independents are overrated. She needs to energize minorites. Sounds like she assumes that Trump alone will do that. We'll see.
This pick accomplishes nothing. He's neutral enough that Hillary's campaign is where she was yesterday, he didn't move her forward or backward. Whether you think that's a good thing or not is up to you.
