Hillary has to make a difficult choice. Either pick a staunch liberal like Warren/Brown/Booker, and give up any chance of wooing Republicans/moderate voters, or pick a more centrist candidate to appeal to white collar, moderate voters whilst pissing off the progressive wing of the party (who are already hostile to her but have calmed after Bernie's endorsement).
The best choice is Tom Perez. Not known enough to offend moderate voters, but enough of a track record to please progressives.

1. Booker isn't a staunch liberal.
2. Clinton herself is the centrist, moderate candidate. Her biggest problem lies with her own base of millennials and progressives.
3. Picking Kaine is picking someone who represents what everyone is angry at right now. Again, people like Trump's message but don't like him. Clinton picking another establishment candidate does her zero favors in this political environment and is not going to win over dismayed voters, etc.
How do people not get it by now?

This is not a normal election year.
