Most conventions speeches are not super detailed, you can go back read Obama's. Most of it was vague promises and some stuff were outright lies in retrospect. Trump needs to fresh his website out for the people who want details.

The donations are coming in for him. He has money. And he has his own money. If he wanted to spend, he could.

I'm not sure he wants to, though. I don't think he thinks that ad attacks are the way to win. Hillary is dependent on these, but have they worked?

If Trump could win the nomination with little to no advertising, he probably thinks he can do the same winning the presidency.

And you're right - Hillary did just that. But Trump has done the same to Hillary, just in a different way.

No one said that Clinton has already won, but the ball is in her court. She unquestionably has an advantage for the electoral college simply because of the current demographics in the U.S. Trump will have to win a considerable number of the swing states in order to get around Clinton's strong blue state electoral vote advantage out of the gate.
