Are you just trying to be dumb? "Songwriters" doesn't quite equal to artists either. Every artist contribute to their art in different ways, vocally, by playing instruments, writing songs etc. no two artists are completely the same.

Artists are the people who create and the biggest part of creating music is writing.
If you don't write or produce then all you do is contribute vocals therefore you are a good vocalist but not an accomplished artist in my eyes
Singing is an art form too and will never not be one. Even if you write a thousand songs, nothing is truly realized as music until it is performed. No one agrees with your narrow definition of "art."
