Naw I still would've thought it was crap no matter who cut it. It stings more because f(x) used to get actually decent material. And yeah, it's still a song. f(x) is the same group who gets praised for their high-quality album cuts, so the quality distinction between a single/pre-release/album track shouldn't really apply to them (Shouldn't apply to anyone really, a song is still a song at the end of the day and someone should be aiming to make it actually decent?)
There shouldn't be a barometer of song quality opinion that's adjusted based on the song type or amount of promotion it gets. A bone to the fans is still a bone: something without any substance meant for dogs to salivate over without discretion. One could easily put out an excellent pre-release. I don't understand why fans or artists think that these songs have to be weak.
It's not like other K-pop groups have never put out a strong, standalone project song.
It's not like SM Station hasn't occasionally put out good songs either, like Heartbreak Hotel or Mindjack.
It's not like LDN Noise can't put together a decent song that isn't just UK Mainstream chart fodder with generic melodies up and down the track like with All Mine
There was no reason for this release to be so poor. If it was good, I would've gone "hey this was good", but as is this is just another drop off in quality for f(x), to me.

So i don't get it are there 2 l.o.l subunits coming next month? Obviously l.b.l is a subunit but people keep referencing a lol comeback next month?

Okay so I'm finally back from the kcon that was in my country and:
1. Most of the people were BTS stans and didn't even know other groups. There were a lot EXO stans too, and surprisingly Monsta X got a lot of stans as well. It was so messy with the BTS stans though, I heard Fire like 234653465 times today and they were sooooooo annoying
2. SO MANY KOREABOOS I CRINGED SO MANY TIMES OMFG. "Oppa saranghae" SHUT UP BITCH OMG HOW DO YOU EVEN LIVE WITH YOURSELF
3. There were many albums that I wanted to buy like The Red, Virgin and some 9Muses albums but I'm poor 
4. There was a message sent by Hyosung, Red Velvet and GOT7 and people were cheering only for GOT7. The hate for girl groups was real the whole time, I was honestly shook by it. Me and my friends tried our best to give the girls the cheers they need
5. Half of the time I spent promoting Oh My Girl, playing their songs everywhere and screaming buy Windy Day on itunes dlksfj;gdfsg

Now that I think about it, maybe it is for a good reason 2NE1 ended after Crush. It doesn't get better than that quality wise or commercially. They really did went out with a bang

IBI isn't related to the IOI unit, it's a temporary group with some members (Haein, Suhyun, Sohee, Chaekyung, Han Hyeri) that didn't made IOI

Why doesn't this surprise me. Army are just an all around tragedy.
I'm willing to assume that most of the Koreaboos were 90% army too.

Pffft I got into a conversation with some BTS stan and I asked if she likes SHINee and she was like "Omg yesssssss I love them!!!!!!" so I asked who is her bias and she answered "ehhhhhh I don't really know the members oops lol" 
I swear they are such a MESS. They don't know anyone except 3 groups, I don't get why they are even going to these events 
And yeah I had fun, mainly because I laughed with my friends about all these idiots

Well 90% of the people were BTS stans so most of the koreaboos were Army 
There was some performance from some breakdance korean group and people were actually screaming "oppa!!!!!!" "saranghae!!!" and even "don't cry" in the end in korean, the CRINGE

GOT7 had some stans as well, honestly people were crazy for most of the boy groups and I don't think I met even one fan of girl groups

The kcons here are nothing big though, I live in a small country so its more like a small cute event every year. I mostly go in order to meet with my kpop friends

There was a part that was like a "kpop party" where they put music on and people dance, so when it was Twice I heard some girls talking **** about girl groups and I was like hell noooooo 
I started talking pretty loudly about how girl groups are great and how hard working they are and how boy groups could never, pretty sure they heard me and that they thought I'm crazy but it was worth it
