lemonade, just like we never said goodbye and vyzee are the only listenable songs
the way charlotte managed to turn sophie's crappy cringy tryhard productions into heavenly bops like vroom vroom, paradise, trophy, secret and bounce legend in the making
theres no way you can compare them
her songs may be all about sex but at least she explores different aspects of sex, and they all sound different sonically
As does the Weeknd. Even his biggest singles have some variation in that regard. Compare the slow, elegant "Earned It" to the brisk "Can't Feel My Face," two songs that are also extremely different lyrically. "Earned It" tackles the subject of sex from an egotistical point of view, in which the Weeknd is positioned as a treasure that women have to tirelessly work to achieve. "Face," on the other hand, puts the Weeknd in the passenger's seat; instead of being the one controlling the pace, he finds himself seduced and enchanted by a mesmerizing woman (who may or may not be a metaphor for cocaine).
Not sure why the base/people shade Thug Cry. It's production is so lush and grand.
"Bet you ain't never felt 3 AM feel like this, no
Like the moon's colliding, diamonds, baby can we soar"
The Singles Jukebox is the Internet's premier music review site. Just because your tacky faves have yet to score above a 6.0 doesn't illegitimize them!
But to be fair the site was a bit trash before 2010
Carly made forays into other genres and so did Selena kinda. Ed and The Weeknd dont have anything as interesting and fresh as IDJCHTD or even Me & My Girls or Hands to Myself. Listening to their albums feels like a chore

Boy Problems is literally better than any The Weeknd song.

Iggy is a better rapper than Nicki. Nicki sounds NOTHING like the studio version of her songs.
The Weeknd sold out & now is a Max Martin disciple. He ain't better than anyone making generic music like him.
Isn't Max Martin in CFMF and ITN only ? He still showed he could smash with his own style with The Hills so and his album is def better than some recent female pop albums lol
