Emotion is easily the worst album I have ever had the misfortune to hear as a whole and this is not an exaggeration. Granted, albums by Meghan Trainor, Justin Bieber or Fifth Harmony etc. are probably worse but those aren't even worth a full listen.
It's definitely not that good. I've never felt as if RAWM or IRLY were good songs.
But I love All That and Warm Blood.
People feel generally intelligent on RYM. Not always, obviously, but they get it pretty close to right, like Into You and Kiss It Better being in the top 30 for 2016 singles. (RAWM was there last year)
It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters
And make fun of our exes, uh uh, uh uh
Instead of focusing on sushi Lena Dunham should write a thinkpiece on Taylor ruthlessly appropriating hipster culture for her own gain. Very problematic indeed!
What a typical list though I do appreciate The Velvet Underground stomping on Radiodead for once. The Doors being placed under Beatles albums Typical male rockist crap
RYM definitely has way to few women represented but it's just kind of factual that more men or male dominated bands have made more ground-breaking music in the past and therefore have more classic albums that have this kind of following and acclaim. Nowadays I feel like it's much more equal in that regard but not enough time has passed for these albums to enter all-time charts.
