The almost non-existent applause as they came in
The minuscule stage
Ally coming in late in the opening harmony
Normani's mic randomly being way too loud and messing up the harmony at 0:41
Camila's voice hiccup at 0:59
Normani's mic completely stopping working
Lauren putting her mic up as if to sing at 1:35 and then again literally three seconds later but never actually singing anything
The backing track completely cutting off for five seconds
The utter silence at 1:55
Ally randomly running forward at 2:15-2:17 and kicking Dinah in the leg(?)
Some small black object appears on the ground in front of the second-to-the-left mic at 2:27 (Lauren picks it up after the song ends). I can't even tell what it is or who dropped it
The random high pitched sound at 2:37
The man finally running on stage to give Normani a new mic, but her continuing to use her old mic for a few seconds in the hope that it might suddenly start working
Normani's new mic STILL not working until right as her solo ends
Their mics all being turned right down at 2:57
Ally's solo at 3:15 being barely audible because her mic was so low
Not even sure what the man behind Normani was doing at 3:18-3:27, it looked like he was caressing the tree
Not really tragic, but messy for Kelly standards....one of her first performances of Miss Independent and she just hadn't gotten the hang of it live yet She completely flubbed the lyrics for the second half of the first verse (0:41 until the chorus), her lower range wasn't all there yet and sounded messy (1:17), the belting in the chorus sounded a little shouty and rushed, the lyric flubs at 3:25 until the end
Now, it's one of her best songs live, she kills it.
Inspired by another thread...post tragic performances by anyone.
Here's one that comes to mind. I feel bad though because their earpieces weren't working...like not a note was on key, the harmonies in the chorus were completely off...
I just watched this again, omg It just gets worse and worse as it goes on It's funny how their dance moves are so on point and everything, and their timing is perfect, but NOBODY is on key
And this one, the tragic debut of Dark Horse Her shriek to introduce Juicy J at the beginning, her tragic vocals, her outfit, her awkward dancing, her TRAGIC dancing during Juicy J's verse
