The song could be promoted without Britney having to lift a finger. That's what she pays people for. You can claim she doesn't care anymore, but she is still signed to a major label and has an entire team behind her. It would be one thing if she released everything independently and fired her team. THAT would be doing it for "fun." But she is on a label and pays for a team that is supposed to promote her single even if she herself doesn't lift a finger and vacations in Texas. There's nothing wrong with expecting more from her label and her team, who are practically earning money for doing nothing right now. I can still enjoy the music while being frustrated with the song's treatment.
