You can record a piano, trombone, harmonica etc for your melody, just something that can make one.

The goal for this challenge is just to see what's going on in your head, we're not looking for an actual polished Platinum Hit, you feel?

Honestly, listening to 8ths tracks right now and I have concepts in mind for all of them, but the strongest concept I have so far is from "Soft". I'm going to listen to them all before putting up a preference though.

You could DL a demo for a DAW/compostion software or the tree Anvil Studio and write something on them

You have the whole week to learn! The good part about this challenge is for a lot of people it'll teach them something new and put you outside your comfort zone. It's a true challenge and we get that, that's why we're all here to help including Swiftie!
