This isn't a good sign for Katy. She waited too long between eras. She should've released last year because it would've been perfect right before Adele, Beyoncé, Drake, JT, and Britney.
Katy was a digital FORCE, Roar opened up with 557k just 3 years ago. Justin Timberlake sold 379k (which was more than his last lead single that sold 315k) with a soundtrack single for the Trolls movie and debuted #1 in 2016.
This is a comeback single coming off a huge era, after headlining the Super Bowl and having two HUGE worldwide hits. There's no excuse. It stinks because I love Katy but she waited too long. If she would've released a single during her Super Bowl exposure it would've been ideal, now she has the same fate as the other pop girls bar Taylor Swift and Adele.
What the fuc* are talking about? The song sold like 400,000. Jesus. Do some research bae
He said 7 days, not one tracking week. BTW was released and only had I think 3 days of sales to debut (the 448k) it sold I think 510k in the second "week".

And that's far from 7 days and far from 1.1 million even if you add 448+510.
That's not "close enough" That's 960,000 in TEN days. It was 600,000 in the first 7 days and 350,000 in the next 3 days. Don't act like you don't know it.
Can't believe Venus and DOPE will have sold more first-day as promo singles than the comeback singles of Katy and Britney in a week
And Britney's numbers are really impressive. Roar sold 3x more first-week than Work Bitch, and Rise will sell only 1.4x more than Make Me. Either Britney is doing really well or Katy's downright flopping. Maybe both.
