Whew... After being free for months, no video ever other than the private one, and not having any airplay the buzz single known as FORMATION debuted with 50k more than Rise and 2x more than Britney's lead single... That tells me everything I need to know.
Why are people talking about Rise? It has no radio deal and only is on iTunes, Katy and her song will do fine and sell more in the long run. The real interesting piece of information these numbers gave me is the fact that Britney's come back was almost a non-event.. And the no promo excuse is funny because the same people said that the only reason Beyoncé album debuted with almost 700K in 3 days without Spotify was because of the surprise so... And a single is way cheaper than an album hence why they sell more so imagine if Britney released her album with no hype..
To say that ATRL still argues about who is more relevant or more anticipated...
Britney fans need to stream Make Me because...imagine what that figure would be if streams weren't a part of the sales...
I hope Make Me will stay stable and not fall...
