Not Katy fans bragging about Applause losing only for Rise to sell less than half of it
Yes, because the music industry is changing... I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you have no idea that sales have considerably dropped and streaming has replaced it (sadly).
Roar/Applause were released at a time where sales were still "okay".

Those singles were released in 2013, right before the collapse of digital sales. You Gaga fans better come down real quick before she releases that lead single and you all receive the lashing of a lifetime
Monsters trying it, did they forget about Til It Happens To You? Same scenario as Katy, a song released in between eras with no that much commercial appeal, with the difference that Rise is doing so much better with no televised promo yet
Its gonna drop to 100-110k. Don't start with "its just a buzz single" for excuses too. The GP probably thinks this is her lead single. It sounds like one and she's promoting it like crazy! I would expect more from a song that was shown to thousands in the sky, promoted on the Today Show & had iTunes Banners
I mean, Katy's is a theme song, so maybe that will play out differently when she announces her actual lead single. Although with all them damn banners, people probably don't know any different any way. Britney is.... good for her!
I can understand Katy's situation. I just expected more considering her standards.

one is not a pop song and isn't going to be promoted everywhere, having every iTunes banner, etc while the other is

As for Britney..........
Lmao you can understand Katy? She had all 4 iTunes banners for 24 hours, now the very first banner, she dropped the video first day, went on the Today Show to promote it and Britney is only behind 30-40K when all Britney has done is tweet about it
