Tbh, I think that Ari's numbers are far more worrisome considering she's on her third era and was coming off of a huge era in My Everything. With Britney, I don't think anyone expected her to do big numbers since this is her ninth era and her last album flopped hard and was universally panned. EDIT: And she hasn't done any promo other than tweeting the iTunes link on twitter.
I like Ariana though and hope her next album does better.

She basically sold 90k off of word of mouth alone and it's not even Sunday yet. If it wasn't for her stans, you wouldn't even know she had a single since Katy was EVERYWHERE. They didn't even put Britney in the new release tab (and Spotify added her hella late). The fact that she immediately shot to #1 and is currently sitting at #2 with the most promotion being a damn tweet, is HELLA impressive.
