So true
e.g. f(x) feel like they've been around for so long, but then I remember their pre-debut
practice video dancing to Rihanna's Disturbia (!!!) as little teenage girls
I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and it feels like 2011-now KPop has been evolving on
an incredible speed trying to catch-up with the rest of the world, and being as "current" and "hip" as it is now. It's mind-blowing how they've been able to do it. KPop really became a thing in the late 90's, as opposed to American pop culture having a 2-3 decades head start.
And ofc it helps that groups release so much, and groups like INFINITE/SNSD/WG have gone
through different phases of KPop, their old videos almost look vintage straight out of the 90's, when in reality they only date back to 2007-2009
