What do you think? Make Me actually hit #1 on iTunes, but Applause didn't do too bad. Do you think Make Me will be bigger than Applause?

But Make Me is making Britney a better artist and it's on her way up again, while Applause destroyed Gaga's career back in the day.

Nobody asked which will sell more in the end. Applause is the obvious answer and nobody can argue with that because it is in fact simply stupid to compare sales from 2013 to today's sales.

There are more things that make a song a hit: in Applause's case, the song spending 14 consecutive weeks inside the Top 10 make it a hit.

I doubt Make Me will even scratch the Top 10, yet stand in there for more than 3 months

Well Applause wasn't really a hit, I would classify it as a semi-hit.

My point is Make Me is making good to Britney while Applause destroyed Gaga's credibility, everything flopped after that.

I mean I know Applause had a respectable number of weeks in the top 10, but for what it did to Gaga's career is hard to call that a hit.

Applause was a hit. Just because the album it supported didn't do well doesn't take away from the fact that it sold 2.6 Million in the U.S. and peaked within the Top 5 of Pop radio.

Clearly not. Applause didn't get red updates the 1st day from what I remember. Make Me will sell less than Brit's last single PG at this rate.
