Guys. I'm so basic when it comes to horror. Does anyone else have a thing for plain road movies, especially when a group of young friends come to a haunted house/forest/freakish city etc.? Something like Evil Dead or Cabin In The Woods.

I find Joy Ride, The Glasshouse, Stepfather, Wolf Creek, Eden Lake entire Freddy Krueger series so enjoyable. I personally hate pretentious horror movies or something too supernatural. Any recommendations?

Have you seen The Strangers, You're Next, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Haute Tension, Frontier(s), Vacancy? Those are awesome and similar to the ones you mention, I'm not a huge fan of paranormal movies either.
