Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't a diamond certification for 10,000,000 sold in the US, not WW? If so, this thread title is somewhat misleading. Although, I can't say I'm sure, I'm not too knowledgable on the whole certification system.
Nevertheless, a great feat to have her debut album sell over 10,000,000 WW.
^ according to mediatraffic it sold 187.000 this week bringing the total to 7.787.000
Thanks. Well selling close to 8 million with still a way to go is really an amazing feat, I don't think shipments of 10 million copies around the world is really that uncommon though. There have been many artists who have sold 6-8 million WW probably with the same shipments as this, just that it wasn't brought to everyone's attention since shipped WW copies usually aren't really cared-about.

For tracking WW sales then shipments are the only reliable method as we don't get sales from every country, mediatraffic's numbers are just estimates, so they are pretty important
A lot of artists that sell 7-8mill have only done so at the end of their era, meaning there isn't much demand left so the labels won't be able to ship that many extra copies.
Mediatraffic doesn't count all the countries, only Europe, US/Canada, China/Japan & Australia. All the other countries are ignored
Actually they count South America, Mexico, some Asian countries, where the market is so weak that wouldn't even make a difference, for example Platinum in Middle East is for just 3k sold....
