Are you sure? Because there seems to be a lot of this stuff circulating around, and it seems to depend on what news source you're following. More liberal ones don't label as "thug" and "terrorist" as often. But stuff like Fox News tends to twist info in their favor. The liberal ones do that too, but I'm just saying.

Well first, there was pretty much no damage done to the African-American child. He was unscathed and it's easier to be critical since the gorilla suffered more damage than the child. He died, afterall.
In the second case, the opposite happened. The alligator lived and the child was snatched, gone. So there was actually something to mourn. What do we mourn in the first case? Only the Gorilla since that's the only one that died. Just like the child was the only one to die in this case.
 Also, (this is the part you may laugh at, but it's valid) animals like Gorillas (mammals) are pretty much romanticized in pop culture. Like they're stuffed animals, they're furry, etc. Even though they're deadly as ****. Alligators are always seen as malicious / vicious and are always described in cartoons as having an evil, devilish presence.
Similarly, a person is more likely to be killed by a Lion than a Snake, but when a snake killed a lion, everyone hat sympathized with the Lion. Why? Stuff like Lion King, and the fact that they're furry and close to cats, helped people have a bias towards Lions. The "snake" from Adam and Eve, Slytherin references, etc. always show snakes in a low, diabolical, malevolent light. That subconsciously programs people. |
Bye. The killed 5 alligators. Explain why the father's mugshot (he wasn't even at the zoo) was relevant? I'm not asking why the dead child's parents got empathy and respect. I'm asking why the living child's parents didn't, especially the one who wasn't responsible for the neglect? I find none of this funny. A dead endangered gorilla, a dead child, 5 dead alligators. Nothing funny about it. And nothing funny and excusable about how the media went about discussing both stories.

If guns were banned and in a perfect world just vanished what would stop people from stabbing and doing other things.

So sad a disgusting VET took 5 people's lives. The US must look into its MILITARY and stop its creation of killers. This person's actions reflect ALL army veterans. The US creates skilled, trained and technically skilled killers only for them to be let loose on the population. Hopefully cop supporters call for the immediate reconstruction of the military and our military budget.

How many media sources reported the mug shot?
If you stupidly put yourself in a situation where you could've died, your parents will get mad and probably punish you. But if you actually do die, they aren't going to get mad at you in the grave, because it won't bring you back & it's time to mourn.
And people were calling the parents dumbasses and stuff. But it was just considered disrespectful since they actually did lose a child. The other parents didn't.

People need to have a heart and soul and understand that this is not ok and not justified.
I don't cosign the all live matters hashtag but I really do believe it to be the case.
Black lives, "blue lives" and all lives not to discount the issues with minorities but to also not pretend that it's always minorities are the victims or when not they were aggressive because their angry.

A knife doesn't do the same damage that a rifle does though, there should be background checks and tests in order to stop pysichos to own a gun
