I don't hate things but I HATE that people don't know how to channel their anger/frustation properly and impact so many lives because of it.

This should never be tolerable and I'm afraid we are going to end up getting to the point of expecting something like this on a daily basis.

I do as well. One time I tried discussing with BLM people and I said that while racism was obviously a part of it I thought the problem was much more vast with a deeply ingrained culture of violence. I got called out for it because I tried to broaden the issue, which they considered as racist minimization of the problem. I don't think they'll get anywhere with such an approach, unfortunately.

The speeches are definitely anything but innocent but this is an example of scapegoating. Reminds me of people blaming rock music for violence/suicides. Self control and responsibility supersede any speech. One always has a choice and, unfortunately, whoever these active shooters are, they chose wrong.

The point is that if you are going to pull on that thread then you can also make a case for entertainment (video games/movies/tv/music)...

it'd be better to just have respect for the current event and wish for a speedy recovery instead of trying to shift blame on select (cherry picked) entities to further an agenda.

That's a shame. Because we can't have progress without rational, civil discussions from both sides. Everyone (not just BLM) wants to surround themselves with Yes men, though. So I doubt it will happen soon.
