Someone said to me even Cheer Up can be edm, cause "it has elements of island and bass & drum" but idk, I'm not well versed in music classification
EDM is a broad genre with many sub genres. A lot of K-pop's dance music incorporates a bit here and there. YG's usually combines hiphop and electronic in songs like I Love You. SM's current obsession is more house leaning, but their previous works have also used certain elements.
i finally focused on the male back-up dancers in the 'Why' dance video and god ****ing christ, they are so fine
especially the one with the white sleeves and the one with the tattoo on her arm with the sleeveless shirt. whew
So the song is kinda a slay (but not at the same time) although the creepy MV concept is off-putting. There's quirky and then there's just strange. I don't think SM hit the mark this time with the MV.
Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun and Yuta slayed it.
Whoever is doing that screechy pre-chorus (Taeil and Haechan?) needs to stop.
And poor WinWin. Couldn't they even let him say "sobangcha"? His Korean can't be that bad can it?
I'm anticipating their live stage as the choreography looks interesting. Overall it's a more interesting concept than T7S tbh.
While Firetruck is obviously SM's carbon coby attempt at getting a Dope-esque hit (down to the song, distribution, and even the choreo), it's not bad and certainly a thousand times better than T7S. A cute improvement
nct really delivered terrible everything. terrible video, terrible music, terrible live performances (7th sense and i'm sure there's more to come), and their visuals aren't even that great except for a few members sm's first dissapointment in that area i guess
