Commercially, scattered singles/split eras don't really work for non-Big Bang artists anymore. 2ne1 did that in 2013, iKon last year and Winner+Lee Hi this year and it never worked out like it did for 2ne1(2011).
2014 shows that YG artists tend to do better when they release the whole album all at once and have 2/3 title tracks with it
