A small series about Robert's Rebellion would also be great, since so many familiar characters would return: Ned, Robert, Cersei, Tywin, Jaime, Cat, Varys, Littlefinger, Barristan etc. and there'd be some new and interesting characters too, like Rhaegar, Lyanna, Elia Martell, the Mad King.
It would be a complete new storyline, while giving the audience characters they already know and love/hate, which would almost guarantee strong ratings for the first few episodes.
