Also, I was talking to my friend last week about Fitz and how he was basically a democrat in office and how weird it is. There were so many plot points in terms of legislation that could have turned into real conflicts between Him and Olivia (like the gun bill).

loses when she runs for the Republican nomination
and it makes me want to CRY.
Even though I love Mellie too.
Scandal is weird in how it portrays party lines, though - it's like Shonda has some weird agenda. The Democrats are either conniving backstabbers or irritating goody-two-shoes (like Edison for example), but then the Republicans in the White House are basically Democrats in practice. And the Senate Republicans are portrayed as evil or something. I don't get it!
