Yall can be so impossible sometimes.
We've got one judge who's like "experiment with structure, don't write a radio friendly pop song this round" and another judge who's the opposite, saying "give me a chorus." As if that isn't conflicting enough, there's a third judge who–in the same batch of reviews–dragged one person for always using the VCVC format while telling off multiple others for
not following the VCVC format.
And then there are a handful of reviews like "you have some references to the film, but they're vague and I wouldn't even really know what you were writing about if you hadn't told me" and other reviews that are like "your song is so good and really captures the theme(s) of the film, and I know that this song was about the movie despite the fact that there are no actual references to the film." And, I mean, really... What soundtrack song has ever had direct references to the film that inspired it? What about the lyrics to My Heart Will Go On says "this is about Titanic"? That It Will Rain is about Twilight? That Love Me Like You Do is about 50 Shades? That Safe & Sound or Atlas is about Hunger Games? That I Will Always Love You is about Bodyguard (or Little *****house, for that matter)?
