Well, Dark Horse was never meant to be a single, but it had tremendous success and they were basically forced to release it, which I think took Legendary Lovers' spot as a single, seeing as they have a similar more urban vibe.
The music video for Birthday pretty much killed the song. I have no doubt about that.
TIHWD was a lost case from the start. The momentum was starting to fade a little so she needed a strong song and a killer video, and TIHWD was neither.On top of that, radio stations also demanded Walking On Air but she didn't want to release it, so they refused to give TIHWD more spins. Even with promo, like an award show performance, it wouldn't have made the top10. And thank God she didn't perform it live on television 'cause that would be the end of hers, she can't do that song live.
