Not if they get deported/disenfranchised by Republicans first they won't.
Well Hillary will have them in the party for a lifetime just like LBJ did with blacks with the Civil Rights Act. And in her 1st 100 days. Y'all just need to vote her in.
It's not even that much of a win, the U.K. Is split, they shouldn't be allowed to do this.
We didn't ask for this vote to begin with.
Having a referendum was one of the policies that got Conservatives elected, but they never thought it would actually have to happen because everyone seemed happy with Cons./Liberal Dems coalition and they would be able to block a referendum. Then they got the unexpected majority so we had to have the vote.
Poor Wales though. At least Scotland (and perhaps Northern Ireland to a lesser extent) have the possibility of independence from the UK. They're stuck .
- The power to appoint and dismiss the Prime Minister
- The power to appoint and dismiss other ministers.
- The power to summon, prorogue and dissolve Parliament
- The power to make war and peace
- The power to command the armed forces of the United Kingdom
- The power to regulate the Civil Service
- The power to ratify treaties
- The power to issue passports
- The power to appoint bishops and archbishops of the Church of England
- The power to create peers (both life peers and hereditary peers)
What Her Majesty cannot do is vote. Nor can she express any shading of political opinion in public. The Queen cannot sit in the House of Commons, although the building is royal property. She addresses the opening session of each Parliament, but she cannot write her own speech. The Queen cannot refuse to sign a bill of Parliament, and she cannot appear as a witness in court, or rent property from her subjects.
Then what is the point of having a queen if she doesn't have ultimate power like the Pope?
Not if they get deported/disenfranchised by Republicans first they won't.
Why would Latino citizens (the ones who can actually vote) get deported or disenfranchised? Undocumented immigrants cannot participate in our elections.
But this split will definitely embolden the Trump followers and benefit them for sure.
