Comparing the strengths of both, Joni is lauded as one of the greatest songwriter of all time. While Rihanna was never shortlisted in the list of best singer (her strength according to Nhevi)
Add in how Joni plays multiple instruments (she even came up her own style, the open tuning system), is a great painter, sings better than Rihanna, etc, while Rihanna does little of anything else, then it's a no brainer.

Regina is one my main faves. Kate still slays though.
