On my old laptop my iphone was set to "manually manage music and videos" and I assumed this option would still be selected when I connected to a new computer as I've had no problems doing this in the past.

Except this time it didn't. That option isn't selected, and if I hit "apply changes" or sync my phone it will erase EVERYTHING. I ain't in the mood to re-download all my music or ingest every - single - CD again.

iTunes just keeps on finding ways to annoy me.
