This is a cute little song I whipped up today, it's short and sweet like its titular beverage. Basically it relates the teen years/young love to being like lemonade: it's sweet, but also sour. Inspired by 60s pop songs, so the structure is a bit shorter than average
Lemonade
We saw golden sunshine
Kiss the salty sea
Dusk painted the evening sky
Like a jar of sweet tea
We promised things would always be this way
When life was like a glass of lemonade
We silently drifted
Toes dug in the sands
Our love seemed to ebb away
When your skin brushed my hand
A bitter moment and a golden age
When life was like a glass of lemonade
…But I would never trade away those days
When sharpest sour was a fleeting taste
And sorrows blended in the sunset haze
…When life was like a glass of lemonade
