This just seems like another opportunity to shame those less fortunate than us for some e-hand-wringing.

As lovely as the utopian alternate reality where the sharp escaped these hooligans' clutches may seem, isn't it more of a shame that most of the people in this picture don't know how to go about doing better?

Sharks specifically target weak and injured prey. The only shark species that are really concerning are:

1. Bull Shark
2. Tiger Shark
3. Great White Shark
4. Oceanic White Tip

This shark is neither of those. Also, most shark attack fatalities (particularly the Great White) is a result of the shark doing an investigation bite to see what the hell the person is, then they let go and leave the scene because they're not interested. Great whites really do not like humans because we're too bony and they prefer fat-rich prey. However, the bite is very intense and most shark fatality victims die from blood loss from a bite, rather than because the shark was going for the kill.

I can't believe we went 3 pages without someone mentioning this. You can pet sharks in some zoos and my friend was a shark trainer for a while. They're dangerous, but they aren't just going to randomly kill you.

You are so deluded. It's not about learning a shark's behavior. Is it really that difficult to realize that a shark needs to be in water to ****ing breathe?? Really??? This shark was dragged out of the water for no reason other than to take a ****ing selfie for Facebook likes.
