Fantagio paid Pledis to manage HelloVenus. Fantagio had money, Pledis had experience -- and that was the nature of their relationship. The only capital contribution Pledis made was with their 2 trainees (and contract worker Lime).
My second favorite Pledis story is when Fantagio discovered Yoonjo had blown out her knee on Pledis' practice floor that would at times become a little slippery due to condensation from a faulty air conditioner, not only was HelloVenus immediately moved to Fantagio's academy practice facilities, but NU'EST and The Seventeen Project were also allowed to use their practice rooms while Pledis made repairs.
The repairs were never made.
My favorite Pledis story I'm still waiting for confirmation on.
