As of the sequel, it was great. It scared the **** out of me too. The acting was superb. Vera is on another level. The only thing that I do not understand how it goes with the story (and how that can be considered "based on true events) is the Crooked man The CGI was terrible, it wasn't scary, it was so laugh-worthy. I don't understand why they put that in there.

LOL the crooked man is real... his body is like that he was Mama in mama and Myrtu in the other side of the door. He's name is Javier Botet. He's 6 7' and weights 120 pounds He has Marfan syndrome.

See..no CGI this is mama's motion test its scary lol.

I honestly didn't think TC2 was scary but I hardly ever think a scary movie is scary nowadays I'm like immune to them after watching them for so many years But it was just a great movie and so well done Wan is such a great horror director And you can tell Warner spent their coins its rare to see a horror movie that looks this expensive that was refreshing. Excited to see what he did with Lights out.



Also I watched the ones below LOVED IT y'all give it a chance. No monsters, no ghosts, no paranormal stuff. More like a thriller but pretty twisted.

The Conjuring 2 wasn't that good. It's the exact same movie we've seen over and over again. It was extremely corny and nothing really happened. 135 minutes of jump scares, singing, and little aw moments. The Conjuring was way more effective.

Sure, the production value is great but the horror aspect left me wanting more. I slept like a baby, in the dark, and at no point did I feel afraid during this movie.

Watched Silent Hill and 10 Cloverfield Lane the other day.

Silent Hill was a mess. Was no way near as creepy as it should have been and the special effects were laughably bad. Really disappointed.

10CL however was a masterpiece and one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time.

The Conjuring 2 was AMAZING, I'm really surprised. The story was much better than the first one. I wasn't really scared, but the scary parts were done really well; I loved the Crooked Man. No copout ending like the first one either.

My only complaints are: 1) as beautiful as the cinematography was, it felt out of place with the environment/house chosen. It worked in the first one because it was a secluded house with lots of space and a true 70's atmosphere, but this was just a normal, dull house that didn't really have any definitive vibe to it; the production value was definitely better in the first one. It felt like he experimented with the camera out of obligation when most instances felt contrived. And 2) aint no one living up to Lili Taylor.

Overall I was impressed and it just reaffirms that James Wan is necessary to the Insidious franchise after the awful 3rd one, and Annabelle.

he is necassary to mainstream horror in general, what a king tbh

also yes, Lili Taylor in the first Conjuring was FLAWLESS, her natural acting and empathy was superb
