Their relationship wasn't as smoothly developed as I hoped. It was kinda forced towards the end. But overall the show had weak kids-TV writing so that was to be expected.

Korra's writing and characterization were no where near as good as Avatar's. Left a lot to be desired. The last two seasons were really good though. You know a kids show that progressed into basically being an adult animated TV show? The Clone Wars, it gets so good, better than the SW prequels. You should check them out.
