The GP still doesn't like Justin Bieber. Go to any comment section on any article about him. What made his album sell was the fact that is was a really good album with really good singles. And no one cares about Selena Gomez. Again, they like the music but she's had no impact like Bieber.

Yes, bc unknown artists who are currently burning up the radio and chars like Zara Larsson, Lukas Graham, and G-Eazy are considered "cool" by the public. Oh wait, no they're not since the public doesn't even know who they are, they just know their MUSIC and like their MUSIC.

I mean, shouldn't Bieber selling well prove to you that all it takes is a good song for people to buy your music? Nobody is running around screaming "I LOVE BIEBER!" like they do with Beyonce.

It takes a collection of good songs to sell an album. If those good songs are pushed to radio and promoted, the album will sell.

Girl, I never said anything about album sales. A big hit, imo is very important for Gaga's case. She really needed one for the next album. I'd already be a blessing for her to have a smash hit as big as "Work" at this point than caring about album sales. Having a good public image is one thing but she also needs a song the mass audience can enjoy to gain back their interest. I mean, album sales perhaps to me is not an important factor anymore because of streaming and the fact that there are countries like mine, that couldn't care less about buying songs & albums but only streaming the songs they like.

It is about the music, duh but who is selling the music. THe artists needs to be in good graces with the public to also get the song to last in the ears of the GP.

You're claiming not to care about charts and numbers yet display your dissapointment about other albums lack of sales. What kind of backtrack. Once LG5 has been released i do hope you see the point of the artist's image, as without one, there is no career.

Basically my point was that the artists of today need to have a cool factor to keep people interested in the artist's bussiness ventures. The artist these days has to be popular on social media and have a good streaming power to stay relevant. Thus needing a cool factor to make the people interested in streaming and connecting to the artists social media accounts. With this method the artist has gathered millions of people that will connect to the artist for future projects also. Which in the end only is in the favor of the artist. Only A good song won't make people connect with the artist as it's not enough for someone to care about an artist.

Being successful & global doesn't mean you have to have huge sales & high charting songs, it just means that your music is accessible to a large population & that it is recognized globally rather than just in select countries where people made them seem more important than others. In mean, the majority of people are only here for the memorable singles. Good music will always be timeless and what impressive is that people can still recognize the melody of a song after like, 10 years. Nobody has time to remember that this album sold x copies or that this tour grossed x millions

Honestly I prefer Gaga's February in 2015 than in 2016. I liked cheek to cheek grammy performance, oscars 2015, american horror story hotel announcement etc. Plus the gray and black hair days. I didn't really enjoy Gaga that much in February 2016. Superbowl was ok. The David Bowie tribute was embarrassing to me. The Oscar TIHTY performance was cool but I liked the sound of music tribute better.
