yes
very interesting experience. He was puertoriccan but spoke no spanish, only english and conversational japanese. he only listened to japanese boybands and japanese death metal. watched extensive amounts of anime. In fact whenever it was his turn to pick a movie or tv show, it was anime. he spoke in japanese whenever he could replacing english words with the japanese equivalent randomly. Was a cosplayer was said he wasnt good at it so he never really tried. and he wrote and drew his own manga which he would have me read and give him critique. also referred to be as his waifu both in public and whenever it was the two of us.
the relationship was fun. I had no complaints. i learned alot of japanese from him, tried alot of japanese foood ive never had, and who doesnt love anime. also he got me addicted to maximum the hormone. overally definitely the best relationship ive had.
it did get a little embarrassing when he would wear naruto headbands and carry around death notes in public but i found it as equally cute as it was cringeworthy
