Finally not tired enough from Vegas that I can write about seeing Mimi last night.
For starters, she sounded AMAZING. I was a little worried since I had seen highlights from the previous two nights and she sounded a little rough but she DELIVERED. A lot of it sounded live and I'm glad I got to experience the Queen of Vocals slaying me like this.
The show appeared sold out (or at least close to it) but crowd was a little dead and it didn't help that I was sitting next to an old guy who got separated from his wife so he was just bored the whole time. I was probably annoying him by singing along to every word and doing all my Mariah movements.
I was not bored a single time. Every single song was amazing. I know she probably hates these songs (and the GP probably doesn't remember them
) but I wish she would've done all of Love Takes Time, Someday, I Don't Wanna Cry, and Thank God I Found You in full. And she cut Don't Forget About Us in half too
Don't know why since she loves it. And I don't know if she did this on the previous legs but she sang the remix for Fantasy. The original is my favorite so I was a bit disappointed but the remix got such a huge reaction from the crowd. I honestly can't even pick a favorite moment because the whole thing was amazing from the vocals to the set to the outfits. It felt like such a short show and I wanted it to last so much longer. This was my first Mariah show and I pray she can come around here during her tour so I can experience this again.
Edit: Also it was a big kii when the DJ said only real fans would know this song and it was Shake It Off.
And then Mariah asks if we remember Don't Forget About Us.
And finishing college? You old goat, I just finished my first year. I'm just tryna have a chill summer, hopefully get a job if any of these managers will ever get back to me.
