I used to wake up and start each day listening to that life saving song. It sounds dramatic but it really did change my life. From there, I dug deeper and fell in love with songs like 'Love Takes Time' and 'Someday'. Then and there I knew I was in for the long run, and listened to the entire album. Not one bad song on this masterpiece. It could be the year 2059 and without fail, I can guarantee that I'll be that old man breaking a heel to go listen to songs like Alone in Love and Sent From Up Above, and sometimes even Prisoner. The start of my fave's career and the beginning of my stanhood. Haven't looked back since

I fell in love with her during the late Glitter, early Charmy era when I first heard Through The Rain, and since then I married this woman.

But then a year before that, I saw her on TRL and I thought to myself who is this lunatic on TV? I was only 10, so bear with me. It was only then that I realized the woman with the ice cream truck and the one singing at a church in the music video were the same woman. Only Mariah can go from A to Z in a sip of a cham-pag-ney. Only her can have the personality of a white trailer trash in the broad daylight, and then at Sunday church ceremony serve our souls and offer them to the gods.
Although the earliest I memory I have of listening to her songs were in 1998-1999 when I was 7 years old and didn't really pay attention to her

the backhanded shade... and I was holding a copy of a compilation disk with My All in it. At that time I didn't know who Mariah Carey was, I just keep hearing her name as someone famous.
The earliest one I remember was in 1994-1995 when I heard Hero on a cassette tape. I thought the same singer then was the same one who later down the road sang My Heart Will Go On.
The rest was history.. Oh.. life as a lamb.
