Kids still love pokemon!! I went to an elementary school for a drama club performance thing and we had to introduce ourselves as if we were children and I brought a treeko and all the kids recognized it as a pokemon and cheered when I introduced myself

Agree, mostly, tho I don't think the typing thing has to be a case of catering to the kids. The Cipher Admins in Colosseum were kinda similar to what everyone is talking about, they had 1 general strategy as opposed to typing. And they could be hard as **** I remember having a ton of trouble with Lady Venus (idr, but I think she used double status like confusion and attract a lot?) and the scientist one who I think had a rain dance team.

I watched Alex's 8 hour live stream of him trying to beat the E4 with lvl 1 pokemon yesterday, purely to catch those tiny adorable moments. When he pranked called a couple & accidentally made them break up
