It's funny though, we are in a time where pop radio now supports artists and not the singles per se. Payola also has a lot to do with it.
If a pop radio darling like Taylor or Katy released Send My Love, it would be number 1 on radio already.

And this is why she never needs to abandon it. She shouldn't resort to relying on pop considering the amount of breaks she takes, etc. She'll always make pop music but it needs to keep it's HAC/AC appeal.
But I think her biggest problem right now is that the album did too much too soon. It feels like the era ended months ago.
