Christina Grimmie is the whole reason why I started singing. She's the whole reason I started playing piano. She made it seem so cool and effortless. I'm devestated. She was so pure and extremely talented. Idk what to say, it's like losing a friend you've been with since you were 10
What is so sickening to me in this situation is that I've been seeing so many people online saying that the only issue was of the mental illness of the assailant. How did the mentally ill man obtain the gun? It's actually just as easy as walking into a store and signing some papers. There needs to be better gun regulation in the US. As long as you aren't a felon or completely insane you can own a gun here. A mentally ill young man doesn't need to be owning a gun. This is both a domestic violence and a gun regulations issue. On that note, I am horrified by the act of violence. Last fall my uncle was murdered by gun violence and ever since I've been an advocate for regulation. We are a country that needs help and the last thing people need is free access to weapons that can harm others at the expense of others. My heart aches for Christina and her family.
