Synchro will most likely be a reskinned mega evolution like primals. And as long as the designs are decent (if they even change much aethetically cause with customization i kind of doubt that) i don't know what the problem is.

Mega Aerodactyle is what it used to look like too. Primals were just as unnecessary.
They were pretty much a plot device which Synchro could be too. You barely know anything about it yet (not even if it is an actual thing)

Primal Reversion was exclusive to Grodoun and Kyogre. It was more of a special thing the box legends got, like forms or something. So it really wasn't a big deal.
Synchro seems like it'd just take place of Mega Evolution the way people are talking about it. Which seems reductive. The whole concept is stupid, when we already have Mega Evolutions. If this is just a ~marketing~ ploy then how lazy of game freak lol.
