I just think it will be VERY odd and unexpected if after all this folly she's not VP.

I can think of another scenario where she declined the VP offer but will take a key office gig, SOS maybe?

There was a big tug of war between the State Dept. and the CIA over drone policy and how much say the State Dept. should have.

It seems that the probe was mostly centered around these "low-side" emails sent by diplomats in Pakistan. The irony is that these drone strikes are an open secret in Pakistan but are considered above top secret by the US government.

There is no expectation of criminal prosecution against Clinton.
Several law-enforcement officials said they don’t expect any criminal charges to be filed as a result of the investigation. . . One reason is that government workers at several agencies, including the departments of Defense, Justice and State, have occasionally resorted to the low-side system to give each other notice about sensitive but fast-moving events, according to one law-enforcement official.

I think this pretty much puts a nail in the coffin that there was ever any chance of criminal prosecution against Clinton. This was a review of State Dept. practices regarding the top secret drone strike program that was complicated by Clinton's private email server. Essentially, the server was a red herring, they were looking into emails sent by diplomats and if they were improperly sent through a "low-side" system. This seems to be a bit of an inter-agency dispute between the State Dept and the CIA. The State Dept. could not adequately perform their job under the circumstances if they had to respond using the appropriate communications systems.
This is probably why President Obama is so confident that he endorsed Clinton today. The details of the investigation and their target are still treated as classified by the government.

She said basically "I love my job, I love getting to fight for Democrats, and I love that we've got a new fight ahead." That tends more toward a yes than a no!

During this last interview, she is really talking Hillary up. She wouldn't be doing this if she didn't want the job. The Democrats will want to make a splash. People who aren't voting for Hillary because she's a woman are not going to change their minds if she picks a man as her VP. And the Democrats would be able to take back the Massachusetts senate seat which is really important right now. Clinton/Warren 2016

that's what I've been saying.

People who dont' want to vote for a woman aren't going to magically vote for one if you attach a man to the ticket.

And also, any Hispanic who is still voting for Trump despite all he has said, is not going to magically vote for Hillary if she throws them a Mexican bone

I think doubling down on the female vote could potentially have a better effect than picking a safe guy and hoping for some stragglers.

Especially because you KNOW it will drive Trump insane, he won't be able to control himself with the sexist attacks. At that point he'll alienate enough women to make him lose just for that.
