Honestly I'm a super political person but I try to avoid political discussion with most people cause a lot that I know are Bernie supporters and I have so many reasons for supporting Hillary over Bernie but whenever I'm trying to explain them I feel like they're hating me more every second sdkgsd
Even though I know I can keep it extremely civil I try to avoid conversations like that with my friends cause idk how they'll react

Yep. I feel that. I've had friends about foam at the mouth over my support for Hillary, especially when I told one, "I know you do not like her, and that's fine, but she will be the Democratic nominee for president."

The #BernieOrBust people who are not liking Warren right now represent about 2% of the Bernie supporters. It's just sad that they are the most vocal and are getting likes from people who supported Bernie but are supporting Hillary now on random Facebook posts.
I've had my fair share of friends on Facebook who have posted Bernie or Bust stuff throughout the primary, but right now there is only one who is still sticking to a #NeverHillary idea

Hillary has a 4 million vote lead. She has a lead in every way possible. I think Bernie should finally accept that his follicles were snatched.

My facebook feed is insufferable atm.
I'm seeing a lot of posts about how many pledged delegates each candidate has at the moment in order to illustrate how Clinton doesn't actually have the magical # just yet. However, every single post I've seen has been using the #'s before this Tuesday's voting. Putting Clinton at around 1800 and Sanders at close to 1500. So, I'm wondering... are these people tragically out of the loop, uninformed, misinformed or just willfully spreading misinformation?
I hate that I can't even celebrate the fact that a woman finally got nominated for president from a major party. The second I do it's either... She's not the nominee! Super delegates don't vote until July! Stop trying to spin the narrative in Hillary's favor! Or I just get... You're sexist! See! People are just voting for Hillary cause she's a woman!

Also, I think it's worth noting that Bernie's pledged delegate count right now is about the same as Barack Obama's ending pledged delegate count in 2008... However, Hillary is still close to 400 pledged delegates ahead... That's how ahead she is in terms of delegates. She needs a little over 100 super delegates to secure the nomination, and Bernie needs about 600. Bernie needs to wrap this thing up because anyone with common sense can see he holds no chance aside from Hillary Clinton getting indicted or dying.

I'm starting to think some Trump supporters and some Bernie supporters are the same people and are just loud trolls. I had someone on my feed saying that Trump will win because he has more Facebook likes and Twitter followers than Hillary. I had another person saying that since Bernie is basically done in this election that they (Bernie supporters) should blame Hillary supporters for the violence against Trump supporters even if they know that it was Bernie supporters that attacked.

Political scientist: Bernie isn't the future of the Democratic Party. Barack Obama is.
But I think the key for understanding the future of Democratic politics is still Obama. Obama has shown you can win nationally as a Democrat not as a liberal crusader, but not as someone who takes on the left of the party to prove to the swing voters that you're not a liberal, either.
It seems like he will go down in history as the key figure in current Democratic Party politics — he showed how the party's new demographic coalition could come together. If you want to talk about the future of the Democratic Party, that's where it is — a future that's not as dependent on white southern voters and much more dependent on non-white, non-Christian, and well-educated metropolitan voters.
It seems to me that is the key shift — Hillary is running not as a 90s-era Bill Clinton Democrat but as an Obama Democrat, and she won. That suggests to me that Obama’s version of the party is likely to stick around for a while.

Sanders doesn't lead a faction — he's really a Lone Ranger in a lot of ways. He doesn't have a lot of Congressional allies; he doesn't have a lot of interest group organizations aligned with him; his institutional ties within the Democratic Party are incredibly tenuous because he hasn't been a member of the party. So he needs some sympathizers to take up the banner.

This was a beautifully-written article http://www.vox.com/2016/6/9/11867810...ture-democrats

well the others before her did it too, so.
20th and 21st century major-party candidates by most relevant experience - cabinet, Congress, or governor, mostly:
Romney, W, Clinton, Dukakis, Reagan, Carter, Stevenson, Dewey (NY), FDR (NY), Landon, Smith (NY), Wilson: Governor
Hoover: Secretary of Commerce
Davis, Bryan: House
Obama, Kerry, Goldwater, Harding: Senator
McCain, Dole, McGovern, JFK: House, Senator
Bush, Ford: House, VP
Cox: House, Governor
Hughes (NY): Governor, Supreme Court
Mondale, Humphrey, Truman: Senator, VP
Coolidge, Theodore Roosevelt (NY): Governor, VP
Gore, Nixon, Johnson: House, Senator, VP
Eisenhower…an obvious difference: Army Chief, Supreme Allied Commander Europe. I assume these are great qualifying positions.
Taft: ...Secretary of War [Also the Governor-General of the Philippines, and a US judge.]
Clinton: Senator, Secretary of State [First Lady]
Trump, Willkie, Parker: …
[Parker was the Chief Judge of the NY Court of Appeals.
Willkie was just, like, a lawyer and executive. So he’s the closest to Trump.] Parker got 29%, Willkie 15%, of electoral college. Hmm.

Do y'all think Bernie will be dropping out tonight? I have a feeling today is going to be the day at his rally in DC.
