I'm 1000% against the death penalty, and the fact that this country is likely to elect a president who supports it scares me.
Everyone deserves a second chance, I don't care who you are, no one deserves to be killed, it's extremely inhumane and cruel, killing another human is by far the worst thing you could ever do, I thought we knew better.

the death penalty is appropriate in many cases where the crime is too heinous such as a terrorist attack.
|
Agreed on both.
Terrorism (and a few other horrific crimes against humanity-- like the guy who shot up the Charleston church) definitely deserve the death penalty. My only problem with the death penalty is *some innocent ppl may/will get sentenced to death and we'll never really know.

I'm not sure I agree with a second chance considering the seriousness of certain crimes, but it is barbaric to take someone's life away and in the end lowers you to their level.

Some people don't deserve to live. Simple. With that being said I'm also against the death penalty. Not because of morals (morals are always subjective so idc) but it's more economically sound to give a life sentence. The morals is some byproduct I don't care for but is nice to look at I think.

I am so confused about the role of the vice president... I just know they are there ready to be president in case something happen to the president (ex. Kennedy-Johnson) and they are the president of the senate I believe? What other responsibilities does the VP has?

My biggest concern with Hillary is actually her relations with Israel. Obama's done a great job in not giving into their bullying and setting boundaries. There's always the possibility she'll make those relations a little better when I think Obama's made the right call. But praising Israel is what you need to become President and we know that can change once you actually get the part, as seen by Obama himself. It's the one thing I was happy Bernie got more critical of as the campaign went by.

Her blind pro-Israel stance is sort of scary, and that's the one issue I agreed w Bernie (and strangely Trump) on.
Palestinians are people too, y'know.

Whatever the current serving president asks them to do. It all depends. They have no official power other than breaking ties in the Senate, but the President can ask them to overlook certain issues or task forces.

Depends on what the president gives that person. He (or she) will always be making tough decisions with the president but any additional responsibilities aren't guaranteed

But she's not blindly pro-Israel. She's pro-Israel, but actively advocates for a peaceful two-state solution and has personally called for ceasefires.

Um, I'm not a big fan of fracking but right now it's necessary. There should be major regulation towards it though. Fracking near communities isn't safe.
As for the death penalty, I support it for heinous crimes where there is absolute evidence.
FYI, we don't have to agree with Hillary on everything. For instance, I don't agree about making gun manufacturers liable for mass shootings. I find it to be an odd stance

The alternative would be life imprisonment though, and thats not really giving a 'second chance.'
Hillary only supports the death penalty in extreme cases - terrorists, serial killers etc, in which case a less severe sentence (parole etc.) would never be on the cards.

Her SoS record indicates nothing of the sort. Two-state solution is the way to go.

She supports it for the "most heinous" crimes, yes.
As an extreme example, she pushed Obama to capture and (if necessary, and it was) kill bin Laden.
