Heinrich is progressive and a white male. Maybe not as notorious within progressive circles, but people would get to know him.
Like I said, it would be wonderful if she did pick Warren and they won. However, she cannot afford to take any risks. For her sake and basically the entire world (the fact that I'm not even being dramatic )
The only tricky thing about Heinrich is that, he's been endorsed by the NRA.
I don't think he would be THAT stupid to pick Palin, I mean seriously Bachmann is more likely, she'll do the same job but she's a more fresh face and is not seen as that much of a joke.
I refuse to believe Trump even wants to win. No one serious about winning does what he does.
Trump blamed Romney's loss in 2012 on the republican party's views on immigration. And then he bases his entire campaign off of deporting everyone and building a wall.
That's the thing Hillary over the course of her political has given so many Wall Street speeches and many were $250K per speech and now all of sudden Hillary is "anti Wall Street" and she won't dare release the transcripts, Warren would be drag for that by Republicans and she already appears to have thin skin
Obama was restricted due to the donations he received, especially with regards to offshore fracking. It's a shame. I think if Obama had managed to run an entire campaign on minimal donations from the people, his Presidency would have been a lot more progressive. As is stands, he has been blocked by the Republicans at every turn and his donors have restricted him. It's a shame because I think he is a true progressive at heart.
The GOP will twist it and present a narrative that Hillary's donations do influence her. That's the problem.
Hmm. This right here is another reason to have someone like her because trump is already trying to spin that narrative. She could be the one to advocate that Hillary will not.
as a Progressive, I'd absolutely love if she went for one as her VP choice but I don't think it'll hurt her if she doesn't. The Bernie bloc seems intimidating right now but once it finally settles in that the general election has started, they'll fall in line. This election has set the tone for a more competent Bernie like candidate for 2024.
I think the rise of the alt-right/Trump bloc is going to be the biggest concern in US politics going forward. They've been behind the scenes for the past couple of years and Trump brought them to the forefront. I don't think they'll be going away any time soon. Europe's version of Trump-esque politics has taken a hold and is proving itself to be dangerous & not just some temporary, one time thing. The Republicans are gonna have huge problems going forward and there's either going to be a major policy overhaul or a split in the party. One of them will fade away but it's what will stay that is the huge concern.
Elizabeth, to me, seems to want tight regulations on Wall Street not tear up all the banks because of some deep hatred like Bernie does. I think she realizes it is important to have both tho.
She definitely wants to break up the banks. She basically endorsed Bernie's views on it on twitter this year.
Sanders has many contradictions too, like voting with the gun lobby. Hillary is MORE progressive than Bernie on that issue.
Hillary has voted fairly consistently throughout her career and I have yet to see evidence that she voted for anything due to donations, etc.
I was referring to "verbally" as of 2015 - 2016 Warren and Sanders seem to have more in common and share similar progressive ideology than Warren and Clinton
Tim Kaine is personally pro-life because of his religion, but he does not think government should determine that. He is also against capital punishment.
That could be spun as a problem as well for her. No two people agree on everything.

She got paid a lot of money to do these speeches because she's Hillary Clinton - the former Secretary of State, Senator, and First Lady. There is no proof that her being paid significant fees for speaking engagements indicate that she's 'pro-Wall Street'.

Safe choice: Martin Heinrich. Nice liberal progressive to counterbalance Clinton's less liberal policies. He's also kinda young, which would maybe attract younger voters.
