I know that's not what you believe and I do agree that many likely feel that way, but I just don't think it's going to do much for her in this situation.
Her bigger problem is getting progressives on her side who feel she's not trustworthy in regards to the progressive agenda. Most of those people are independents who have no devotion to the democratic party and
yes she's going to need them.
You can try to appeal to white males and republicans now but abandoning the base will almost guarantee a loss in 4 years if they feel left out. Think of it like a musician. You build up a fanbase but the moment you abandon your base for greater appeal, you essentially ruin your career. When the people you left your base for abandon you eventually (moderates, republicans ,etc) your base will have moved on. And that's what we saw happen with this primary. Bernie may not have won but he made a huge impact that will likely last with the democratic party. They cannot afford to abandon progressives which is why they need Warren as VP.
