The Democratic Party progressed immensely socially, with new leaders who replaced old ones refusing to keep their views, forcing it to become something new altogether. Additionally, it was almost exclusively the Southern Democrats who held these views, something a lot of Southern Republicans also held at the time - it was just that unlike Republicans at the time, those Southern members had most of the party's power. Northern Democrats, who have since come to power in the northern regions, have always had a more socially progressive track record.

Sanders is no obligation to unite "The Democratic Party" he is a Independent that ran his primary on the Democratic platform he has no loyalty or obligation to unite a party he won't be part of after tonight since he will be switching back to being a Independent

CNN is reporting that he is going back to Vermont and then going to have meetings in DC before a rally in DC later this week. That rally will likely be his suspension speech, tbh.

I was born to two New Democrats and I have become a highly liberal Progressive Democrat. The only thing I keep from the Party's legacy is FDR's leadership and fiscal policy and JFK in general. That version of the Democratic Party was never my Party.

I love that non-white groups just screwed over Bernie. After seeing people share posts on my FB saying that blacks need to vote for who's better for them, that they need to be informed, and that southern states don't matter, I'm glad that this is the result.

When you are 3 million popular votes behind, how in the hell can you make a case to superdelegates to vote for you?

I think he'll concede by tomorrow or the end of the week, especially if he loses CA.

Not suspending his campaign after huge losses in CA, NJ and probably a loss in NM goes against everything him, his team, and even his wife have said the entire process about stopping Trump being their #1 priority. I think (hope) Bernie's a better man than to stay in longer than this week.
